I am a wife, a mother of two wonderful children, a full-time research scientist, and a part-time knitting designer and fiber artist. I reside in sunny Florida where knitting with wool becomes very interesting, but I do it nonetheless.
I started A Dyeing Wish because I wanted to share my love for fiber and creating new knitting patterns. I hope you enjoy my products as much as I enjoyed creating them. I welcome the opportunity to earn your business and deliver you the best product in the industry.

In order to keep the animals in the manner in which they'd like to become accustomed we opened a custom wool and fiber processing mill, Fleury Sheep and Wool, LLC where we turn peoples' beloved fleece into roving, batting and yarn.

Self taught, for the most part, fibre artist who enjoys spinning(wheel, drop spindle, navajo spindle and spindlitis), weaving (4 harness, triangle and tapestry), knitting (mostly lacework like Orenburg and Heirloom), crocheting, tatting, needlepoint (crewel, embroidery, needle felting), natural dyeing....anything fibre. At one time I raised angora goats so I am partial to mohair but now have scaled down to angora rabbits and am learning angora fibre spinning, otherwise I rely on yearly SAFF adventures for my other yarn need and fibre supplies.

My life long love for fashion and a creative spirit sparked a passion for making one-of-a-kind wearable art and forming Bird Mountain Creations. Along with learning silversmith techniques and working with various metals, I began mixing elements from nature such as gemstones and pearls to make statement jewelry pieces. Along the way, I discovered a love for fiber arts and began to make unique scarves and accessories.

I have been in love with fibers since I was 5. I started with knitting, crochet, beading and sewing but got bored with that quickly. I started making my own looms and weaving which was fun. Then someone turned on to felting and that was it. I had finally found my medium. I have taken many felting classes and now teach classes at local stores and schools. My last class was in Sautee Natcoochee, GA.
