|Name :||Resist-based Pendants (3 Day Class)|
A course combining multiple three-dimensional wet felting techniques for small-scale object refinement. Learn to encase durable found objects in a well fitted and felted skin with a window to reveal your object adding color, texture, material complexity and conceptual relevancy to your work. By simply wrapping fiber around an object one doesn't provide ample space for the fibers to felt and therefore one must employ a resist larger than the object, which involves just a little calculation! Additionally, use different weights of fiber in your layout to sculpt unique hollow forms and apply surface resists for surface dimension. Participants will create 3 pendants and take home a bounty of insight into the possibilities of felting!
